New aesthetical cannon that redefines the external appearance of residential, business, or public buildings.

Laminam facades present a new aesthetical cannon that redefines the external appearance of residential, business, or public buildings. When it comes to Laminam, beauty is always accompanied by ultimate technical performances.

Incredibly light, outstandingly hard, and extremely resistant, Laminam facades defy gravity, creating spectacular visual effects that are inspired by the timeless charm of natural materials such as marble, stone, or wood.

Laminam opens the space of creative freedom for investors and architects alike, as now they can infuse the buildings with aesthetically superior dimension, with no concession to quality, functionality, or sustainability.

One of our company’s goals is to introduce Laminam to investors, architects, designers, and construction companies. To this end, CULT offers continuous support in education and project design that includes the specifications and precise calculation of investment, as well as the task of the actual installation of Laminam on any interior or exterior surface.

All the Reasons for Laminam Facade

The revolutionary innovation in the production of an ancient material gave birth to Laminam, the first large porcelain slabs in the world, which comply with the strictest international construction certificates. A perfect balance between aesthetics and performance makes Laminam an ideal choice for facades on many types of buildings.

Laminam slabs combine the reduced thickness and large formats that reach as much as 1620×3240 mm. These porcelain slabs are exceptionally light, with a weight amounting to 8,2 kg/m2. Fireproof and waterproof, they are resistant to all temperature changes, atmospherics, chemicals, and abrasion. All the features and all the original chromatic properties of Laminam are unchangeable. Moreover, they remain unchanged regardless of the passage of time and any weather conditions. Besides all the above, this unique material respects the environment. Laminam facades are available in as many as 400 colors and diverse textures.

Following their specific needs and demands, investors can choose several solutions that include various types of ventilated or adhesive systems for facades.

Ventilated Facades

Ventilated facades are a technological solution in which the cladding is applied on profiles anchored to the building’s external structure, with a space in between the exterior and the slabs.

Historically, this type of facade was used by builders from Scandinavia, who appreciated it for its excellent thermal insulation. During the last fifty years, ventilated facades gained global popularity by providing solutions for practically all types of buildings, including private homes, hotels, sports, and business edifices.

The ventilated Laminam facades provide a space that generates an airflow from the bottom to the top of the building, which creates a chimney effect that helps lower the temperature and eliminate any residual condensation. This space can be built to accommodate thermal insulation of any thickness and type, acoustic insulation, and possibly firewall barriers.

·       Ventilated facades with a cell system.
The system creates a system of “cells” mounted on a sub-structure. The cell system offers the quality production and guarantees high precision during the work and the entire process. This system allows non-standard dimensions for a personalized design. The frames can be mounted quickly and precisely.
·       Ventilated facades with a clip system.
Slabs can be installed with either neoprene or metal clips as mechanical fasteners, positioned between the previously perforated Laminam slabs. The substructure that carries the slabs is set at a distance of 50 or 75 cm. The visible part of the clip can be painted in different RAL colors, based on the finish of the chosen Laminam slab.
·       Ventilated facade with an adhesive system.
This system of applying adhesive to the substructure profiles in situ uses silicones or polyurethane adhesives that are applied vertically to the aluminum substructure. The substructure profiles are set at a distance of 50 cm or 75 cm.
·       Ventilated facade with an undercut anchoring system.
This type of installation uses undercut anchors inserted in the back of the slab and anchored to the sub-structure. Anchors are visible from the outside and can be painted in different RAL colors based on the finish of the desired Laminam slab. A specialty of this system is that slabs can be installed without special treatment of edges. The substructure is set at a distance of either 50 cm or 75 cm.
·       Ventilated facades with window walls.
The window wall is a technological solution in which the exterior cladding is the building’s infill element, which performs the main functions of an external wall, such as ensuring waterproofing. Laminam slabs can be used as infill combined with glass, and installed on specific frames. In this system, windows flush with the building wall, creating the effect of continuing, yet dynamic surface with contrasts between Laminam slabs and glass.

Facade Solutions With Cementitious Adhesives

This system includes solutions by which Laminam slabs are glued directly onto the continuous substrate to cover the surface completely. Besides many functional advantages and substantial aesthetic range, this type of Laminam facade is an excellent solution for uneven surfaces.

·       Installation on an insulation system.
The external insulation system arises from the need to combine a thermal benefit with an aesthetic benefit.
First, the building is covered with a layer of insulation, and then the insulated surface is clad with Laminam slabs, which also ensure reduced maintenance over time. These systems were specifically studied to hold large size slabs of cladding.

·       Installation on cement board.
Laminam slabs can be applied as cladding on prefabricated panels in cement board or another material certified by the manufacturer as suitable for this use. These panels can make up either the exterior layer of a dry infill wall or a supporting wall, providing excellent thermal insulation.

One material, many outstanding characteristics

A number of exceptional technical characteristics make Laminam the right choice for your facade in any type of building.

·Impervious surface. Laminam surface porosity is an average of 0.1%.
·Resistant to freeze-thaw. Laminam is frost resistant and suitable for any weather condition, thanks to its low average water absorption (0.1%).
·Dimensional stability. Laminam is not subject to dimensional variations of any significance, as it has a low coefficient of thermal expansion.
·Resistance to atmospherics. Exposure to various weather and atmospheric conditions does not cause damage or influence the appearance and performance of Laminam in any way.
·Resistant to mold and fungi. Laminam does not allow mould, bacteria, or fungi to grow.
·Resistant to thermal shock. Laminam slabs are resistant to thermal shock in both indoor and outdoor environments.
·Resistant to scratches and abrasions. Laminam is resistant to scratching and deep abrasion. Its properties do not change even if it is subjected to intensive use and frequent cleaning.
·Resistant to fire. Laminam slabs do not contain organic substances, which makes them resistant to fire and high temperatures. In the case of fire, Laminam doesn’t release smoke and poisonous substances like other materials.
·Resistant to deflection. Laminam has a high modulus of rupture.
·Resistant to chemicals, acids, alkalis, and solvents. Laminam is not affected by organic and inorganic solvents, chemicals, and disinfectants. The only chemical that can damage ceramics is hydrofluoric acid.
·Resistant to UV rays, no alteration to colors. Laminam’s surface is not affected by exposure to UV light and will preserve its original good looks throughout its lifetime.
·Resistant to water and moisture. Prolonged exposure to any kind of moisture does not influence Laminam’s surface.
·Eco-friendly and recyclable. Laminam is a product made of 100% natural materials. It does not release any elements into the environment and can be easily milled and recycled in other manufacturing processes.
·Impervious to graffiti. Laminam is the first material ever that is impervious to graffiti, as the slabs can be cleaned with ease, even in the cases of the most chemically stable colors.
